The captain of our team Zakhar Pashutin will continue his career in Spartak. CSKA conveyed the rights on the player's to the club from St. Petersburg.

Andrei Vatutin, CSKA CEO:

- It is incredibly difficult to part with Zakhar, our captain, who is the real leader, the soul of the team, just wonderful and positive person. His experience, self-confidence, excellent ability to play under pressure, to score in critical moments have become key components for CSKA wins in recent years. In addition, Pashutin has probably the biggest number of titles in Russian basketball - only in the last three years he became the Euroleague champion twice, and won the European championship with Russian National Team. It is difficult to consider Zakhar as a veteran because he always maintains an excellent shape and keeps high his basketball level. The decision to move to Spartak was made together with the player and with his dedication to CSKA and highest probity Zahar has earned the right to decide himself where he will play next season. We understand his desire to help his elder brother. No doubt that in Spartak Zakhar will prove that he remains the star of Russian and European level.

Ettore Messina, CSKA head coach:

- It is an interesting possibility for Zakhar to play under guidance of his brother Zhenya Pashutin. When I first heard about Zakhar’s desire to go and CSKA confirmed that the club is ready to give him this chance, I had no objections. Zakhar played so many years in CSKA, he helped us a lot, he showed himself as an excellent player and person on and off the court. And I wish him the best of luck in a new team.
