Zakhar Pashutin retired from basketball
The former captain of our team Zakhar Pashutin officially retired from playing basketball. CSKA remembers his glorious years in red-blue with gratitude and wishes him all the best.

Pashutin Jr. era with our team was marked with several great successes. As the army man he won 2 Euroleague titles, 5 Russian championships, 2 Russian Cups. He has also become the 2007 Eurobasket champion as CSKA player.

Andrey Vatutin, CSKA President:
Zakhar is one of the symbols of modern CSKA, he remained our good friend even after leaving the team. His basketball talent is perfectly complemented with the character of real man, with confidence, incompliance on the floor, but at the same time with good nature of the court, sincere smile which always stays on his face. I am sure that his deep understanding of the game, wisdom and ability to talk to the people will help him to continue his career as coach or manager.

Zakhar Pashutin, ex-CSKA guard:
I would like to thank everyone I was able to work with in CSKA. First of all, Valery Tikhonenko who was the head coach at the time, he invited me. That was probably the defining moment of my career. It was a pleasure to work with Sergey Kuschenko and Andrey Vatutin also. I’d like to thank all the players, coaches, staff, fans. We won all the titles possible together, I have spent great years in CSKA. I wish the club all the successes possible, to stay the first always. Now I wish to stay with my family as long as I can. I will also study the possibilities to continue to work.
