Yesterday Viktor Khryapa discarded a plaster card from the injured during Reebok Rocky Mountain tournament leg. We call forward of Portland and ask him to tell about his healthy and his life in USA.
Yesterday Viktor Khryapa discarded a plaster card from the injured during Reebok Rocky Mountain tournament leg. We call forward of Portland and ask him to tell about his healthy and his life in USA.
How do you feel your self? How is you leg?
Healthy is fine. Leg is looking like good for the injured leg. Recently I and the athletic trainer of Portland Jay Jensen went to Seattle which is 3,5 hours from us by train. There I discarded a plaster card. The doctor who made operation on me carried out medical checkup.
How are you going to recover now?
Now I will get about on crutches and special boots. After three weeks I will leave crutches. Doctors said that I will need about 1 year for full recovering.
How are you keeping your form?
I am going to the gym and to the swimming pool. I am throwing a ball to the basket sitting of the chair, training assists. I did not play basketball for 2 months only and played it 15 years before. I think that I can not forget how to play basketball.
Did new club helping you? Whom from Portland do you communicate?
Portland helps me in all directions. Now they are making working visa for me. I know some players from the Summer League. And now I am starting to meet other guys. I already know Theo Ratliff and Damon Stoudamire.
How did you establish a home there?
I and my girlfriend Katya found good house and take it on loan. It was empty and we have buy most necessary furniture and cooking battery. There are 2 floors in the house and a small grass-plot behind it. We put their flowers.
Please, tell us about your dog?
Now there are three lodgers in our houses. Katya wanted a small god and I prefer big dogs. So we decided to buy medium dog – bigel Monika. I like this name because it is like the second name of my ex-teammate Sergey Monya. And we like to call the god Monya. Of course, we asked Sergey before giving the name to the dog. And he agreed. It is very clever dog.
Do you follow the games of Russian NT and CSKA? Do you communicate to your ex-teammates?
Of course, I follow the game of the national team, because I played in it. There are many my friends between players and the coaching staff of the team. And I like to follow CSKA life, because I was a part of it. I am continuing to communicate will players and some workers of the club including CEO Sergey Kushchenko. I want say all workers of CSKA and army fans big thanks for their support!
