CSKA celebrated 50 years of European club basketball
Before the game CSKA-Zalgiris the press conference on the 50th Anniversary of European club basketball took place. Euroleague CEO Jordi Bertomeu, PBC CSKA president Sergei Kuschenko, PBC CSKA CEO Andrei Vatutin and the Army club legends Gennady Volnov, Sergei Belov and Vladimir Tkachenko were present.

Jordi Bertomeu mentioned that Russia managed to win both men and women European Championship this year and it was a great pleasure for the Euroleague to perform 50 years Anniversary in USK CSKA. Euroleague is trying to develop and this year the organization presented several new projects like Euroleague TV and Ettore Messina coaching clinic.

CSKA president Sergei Kuschenko said that it is very hard for CSKA to collect memorabilia from the Soviet period but the team is trying hard to do so. IT is very important for everyone to be in touch with the history and in general CSKA President hopes that in the future current players would receive the same recognition.

CSKA CEO Andrei Vatutin thanked everyone for the attention to the Anniversary and said that CSKA legends are very important part of current CSKA and the team do maximum to involve them in different projects.

Gennady Volnov and Sergei Belov told the journalists about their experience at the 10th Anniversary of the European club competitions. Vladimir Tkachenko expressed interest in modern basketball because of its quickness.
