Today delegation of Cibona came to Moscow. Only 10 players could come to the game against CSKA. Several players of the Croatian team were attacked by virus. Josip Sesar and Andriya Zizic had to stay home.
Today delegation of Cibona came to Moscow. Only 10 players could come to the game against CSKA. Several players of the Croatian team were attacked by virus. Josip Sesar and Andriya Zizic had to stay home. Also Andrej Stimac ankle injury is back.
After the accommodation in the hotel they came to the practice to USH CSKA. After the practice the head coach of Cibona Drazen Anzulovic agreed to answer several questions for our site.
What can you say about your opponents in the group D?
CSKA is one of the best team in Europe with the best coach for me. TAU is the strong team who is the leader of the Spanish championship and who recently won the Spanish Cup. But I think that CSKA is a little better. Olympiacos is in the second group of the best European teams. It is the great club with the big history. But our team is stronger for me.
What is your goal in TOP16?
I don’t know, we will see. We are in the team with two of the best clubs in Europe. We finished the first round on the second place, and it is very good result for us. Now when we lost first game to Tau Ceramica we are in the difficult situation. Only 10 players could come to Moscow. 5 players are ill now. We could not have good preparation for tomorrow.
Who are most dangerous players in CSKA?
Oh, they have many dangerous players. But for me Marcus Brown, J.R. Holden and Victor Alexander are leaders of the team. CSKA has very good players in all positions. Turkcan was the best players of the regular championship of Euroleague last year. Monya and Khryapa, Bashminov and Tarlac are dangerous too. Tarlac played in Real Madrid, Brown played in Efes Pilsen, they are very good clubs. For me CSKA is the first favorite of the Euroleague this year.
Is it your first visit to Moscow? How do you like our city?
Last time I was here too long ago, ten or twelve ago, when I played for Cibona. Now Moscow is a new city for me, modern city. Today I did not see much, but I saw that Moscow became very beautiful city. Tomorrow after the morning practice our team is going to the Red Square.
