Terence Morris goes to CSKA
The American forward Terence Morris (207 cm), who played for Maccabi Tel Aviv last season, will wear CSKA shirt for the next three seasons. Player's agent and army club managed to reach the agreement late Saturday evening.

Maryland graduate Morris played two seasons in NBA - in Houston and Orlando, then in Apollon in Greece, won Israeli Cup with Hapoel Jerusalem and went to the Euroleague final with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

During his university years NBA scouts evaluated Morris as one of the best forwards in America. Last season confirmed that CSKA's conscript demonstrates a performance of highest level. During the season Terence was named Euroleague's Best Defensive Player, was included in All-Euroleague Team, was the first in Euroleague in blocked shots, second - in rebounds, and fifth - in the MVP rankings.

His averages in 25 Euroleague games were: 12.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.8 blocked shots. In Israeli championship his averages in 26 games were: 11.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 blocked shots.

Andrei Vatutin, CSKA CEO:

- A player of Morris' calibre, just could not avoid the area of CSKA interest. Last season demonstrated how valuable he is as a player, and we could see it during Final Four in Madrid. The title of Best Defensive Player in Euroleague says a lot, and it is not so easy to earn All-Euroleague Team selection. I am very happy that CSKA managed to win the battle for this player against the biggest European clubs. It is very important that Terence gladly responded to CSKA proposal and is ready to meet our requirements.
