Thank you, Chacho!

From the first minutes of his arrival in Moscow Sergio started to prove how important is it to play for our team. As always during his pro career he was not just formal about his job, he put all his heart into it, he loved the club, teammates, fans. Every day, besides his great skills he was adding positive emotions on the floor and in the locker room. He is the person who is very difficult to be replaced on the floor and in means of team chemistry. I am thankful to Sergio that he accepted the challenge and joined CSKA two years ago. We completely understand that Chacho reached the stage of his life where the family interests become the priority number 1, this is why the club met his request and terminated the agreement. We sincerely wish Chacho luck and satisfaction from playing basketball on the next step of his career.

I was very proud and honored to work with such great professional, great player and family man like Chacho. I also proud that with CSKA he became the first ever Spanish player to win EuroLeague outside of the country. I remember our first talk, he called me and expressed his will to play for us. We always had great collaboration and understanding in our job. I wish him and his family the best of luck.

After two amazing seasons, when we accomplished all the goals set, it is the perfect moment to separate our ways and keep growing. I would like to thank Mr. [Andrey] Vatutin, Mrs. Natasha [Furaeva] and the whole CSKA management who made it possible. Thank you to Mr. Itoudis, coaching staff, teammates, workers in the club for the help and trust. And Thank You to the Red Army for the great support over this time!
