Shakulin, Kandratavicius and Matkevicius stay on CSKA staff
With Ettore Messina named our team's head coach the coaching staff will be changed.

According to Messina wishes assistant coach Dmitry Shakulin, athletic coach Evaldas Kandratavicius and scout Benas Matkevicius will keep their positions. CSKA medical staff will stay unchanged with doctors Roman Smetanin, Yuri Kozhokar, Andrey Oros and physiotherapist Asker Barcho.

At the same time due to mutual agreement it is decided to part ways with assistant coach Giannis Sferopoulos who helped Jonas Kazlauskas in 2011-12 season.

Andrey Vatutin, PBC CSKA President:
I'd like to sincerely thank Giannis Sferopoulos for his work with our team. He impressed us with his intelligence, tremendous hard-working abilities, fundamental basketball knowledge, open mind, honesty, readiness to help at any moment. At the same time we understand that Giannis is able to become a successful head coach for any strong European and we sincerely wish him to find good work and best of luck.

Надеялась, что Сферопулос останется. И сам он нравился, и семья у него замечательная, так бурно всегда болели Мария и сыновья. Удачи им всем.
