Radenovic moves to Sevilla
Center Ivan Radenovic reached an agreement with our club to terminate the contract. Serbian player will sign the contract with Cajasol Sevilla from Spain soon.

Radenovic joined CSKA just days before preseason camp started and played 17 official games. His averages – 2.2 points, 1.0 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.2 blocked shots in 7.6 minutes.

Natalia Furaeva, PBC CSKA Vice President:

“Ivan was receptive to our offer in the most difficult moment for the team, when almost all our big men had health problems during the start of the season. From the very beginning we did not consider Radenovic as a replacement for someone who’s gone or injured player. We are very appreciative for his help and we hope that he will keep the best memories from his time with CSKA. Due to contract conditions we could split our ways in the end of the Euroleague regular season but Radenovic received interesting offer from Sevilla, and we did not want to throw obstacles in his way. We wish Ivan the best of luck with his new team!”

Evgeny Pashutin, CSKA Head Coach:

“Ivan showed himself as a true professional and honest man. It was a pleasure to work with him, he helped us a lot when we suffered from injuries and illnesses of Kaun, Sokolov, Khryapa, Vorontsevich. Now everyone is healthy and Ivan has not so much possibilities to show his worth. Thus, I think, we came to mutual decision: I am sure that in Sevilla he will get a chance to play 30 minutes a game. I’d like to express my appreciation to Ivan and wish him good luck in his new club.”

Ivan Radenovic:

“It was a great experience for me to play for CSKA. I was happy to communicate with all the guys, they treated me very well. I was glad to be a part of championship team and I am sure that CSKA will be good in the end of the season. I will root for the team, but now I should defend my interests. Unfortunately, I was unable to play up to my level and the possibility to come to Cajasol is a chance to break down this season. I will try to return my knowledge in Spanish which I got in my only season in the country as soon as it possible. I don’t think that all the people in Spain will study Serbian or English for me.”
