Our team’s forward Victor Khryapa underwent successful surgery in Israel to repair his left ankle.
The player was injured in the friendly game of Russian National Team against Croatia on August 22. The examination in Moscow did not allow making clear diagnosis because of swollen ankle and lack of time due to the necessity to participate in the World Championship. Despite the physiotherapy and minimized load on the injured foot the level of pain did not change. Khryapa passed more detailed examination yesterday in specialized Israeli clinic which revealed loose body in the ankle joint. He underwent surgery today in the morning. According to doctors, Victor will need more than a month to rehabilitate.
