CSKA forward Nikita Kurbanov will play the rest of the season in UNICS Kazan. He is loaned to the club. Tonight the player practiced with Ettore Messina squad for the last time.
Andrei Vatutin, CSKA CEO:
- After we signed the contract with Victor Khryapa it became clear we can not provide Nikita Kurbanov enough playing time. Four clubs expressed their interest in loaning the forward. But we prefered UNICS because the current coach of the team Aco Petrovic and Kurbanov used to have good relations two seasons ago when both were at Lokomotiv Rostov. Besides, UNICS plays at ULEB Cup so Nikita would have a chance to play also in Europe. I want to wish Nikita good luck in his new team.
CSKA made another roster movement by replacing Tomas Van Den Spiegel with Matjaz Smodis in the roster for Russian Championship. Victor Khryapa was also included in the list.
