The traditional party devoted to the beginning of the upcoming basketball season appeared to be as traditionally funny and memorable.
The scene of Comedy Club in Golden Palace entertainment center automatically turns your mind into humor. Therefore it was not too much serious speeches – even Sergei Ivanov, Sergei Tarakanov, Ettore Messina (coach addressed the crowd in good Russian!) and Andrei Vatutin were short. The program also did not include the meeting with the fans planned for October 9.
The theme of the party was inspired by Ettore Messina’s comeback to CSKA. The coach turned to the chief on the kitchen who supposed to cook something tasty from fresh ingredients. And the party was hosted by Oskar Kuchera, the club’s ‘veteran’ who is refereeing the Culinary Battle on TV currently.
The players, coaches and staff were divided into 4 groups named after their captains – Khryapas, Dedas, Messinas and Vatuts. They participated in different funny contests connected with culinary. In the course of the contests Vatuts team got an unexpected reinforcement: they were joined by Andrey Kirilenko. AK-47 was in great mood and willing to participate and make fun. But in the egg-throwing contest he shot into the chest of doctor Roman Smetanin instead of shooting it into the big cup. No surprise: NBA preseason is yet to start.
