To slam the door
On Wednesday our team will finish the season in the main European club tournament ahead of schedule for the first time in a years. The final game of the Euroleague regular championship is meaningless for CSKA but remains important for Efes Pilsen which is fighting to improve their position in Group D.

CSKA will miss injured Victor Khryapa (ankle) and Alexander Kaun (knee). Nikita Kurbanov (big toe) is also out.

"I’d like to express the biggest respect to coach Perasovic for what he did for Efes Pilsen, - CSKA interim coach Dmitry Shakulin said. It happens that we play traditionally – either in official or friendly games – almost every year. Now it is obvious that the team has the strong coach’s hand and knows what to do on the court. It was a great decision to sign Vujcic in the course of the season – the move helped the team to play smarter in the paint and improved ball movement. Efes uses perfectly guards Tunceri and Rakocevic. I think we chose the wrong defensive system on Rakocevic in Istanbul and he killed us with his shooting. We just won a very important game against Khimki and our strong desire is to hold this good mood until the New Year. Hopefully we can use our home court, fan support and winning mood to finish the year strongly, to assure everyone that we are headed the right way."
