Kyle Hines named Euroleague One Team Global Ambassador
Our team's center Kyle Hines has been named Official Global Ambassador of One Team, the corporate social responsibility programme that combines the efforts of clubs, Founding Patron Turkish Airlines and international partners to use the sport of basketball to create positive social change.

Hines, a two-time Turkish Airlines Euroleague champion, had been the One Team ambassador for Olympiacos Piraeus last season. Since joining CSKA over the summer, he has been an eager collaborator with his new club's two official One Team Ambassadors, current player Victor Khryapa and legend Sergey Tarakanov.

Now, Hines will become an Official Global Ambassador and as such will promote One Team on an international basis as a spokesperson for the programme, which integrates communities through the power of basketball by giving its clubs the tools to support groups excluded from society.

“To be a One Team Global Ambassador it’s a great honor for me,” Hines said from Moscow after being selected. “To be a representative of the One Team community, as wells as the European and the Russian communities, is a great achievement and I hope that together with the other ambassadors we can make a big difference and help our communities.”

Hines will be the second Official Global Ambassador for One Team, joining legendary player Nikola Vujcic, the current team manager with Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv.

“As our first ambassador to play with two different teams, Kyle was already the perfect example of the One Team message that says no matter what uniform players wear, when talking about communities, we are all One Team,” said One Team director Isabel Gultresa. “Wherever he plays, Kyle shows his devotion and support for communities served by One Team. His personality matches perfectly with values like commitment, respect, effort and empathy that One Team strives to transmit through the programme to disadvantages groups and individuals.”

One Team, launched in February of 2012, already boasts 17 participating Euroleague Basketball clubs reaching more than 5,000 youths per year. Their individual projects address social issues such as substance abuse, gender inequality, physical or intellectual disability and economic disadvantage. One Team has grown non-stop since its founding, reaching across sports for collaborations like One London with three of the UK's leading football clubs, going beyond its core market to reach marginalized groups in Africa, China and the United States, and partnering with world-renowned leaders like Special Olympics.
