Today the PBC CSKA delegation returned from the international basketball clinic held in Belgrade from June 27-29. We asked CSKA coach Yevgeny Pashutin to give his impressions about the camp:
- I was in awe. We saw experts like Gregg Popvich, Javier Imbroda and Dushko Ivanovich. PBC CSKA head coach Dusan Ivkovic also spoke. The Serbia and Montenegro cadets national team did all of the drills for us in the home arena of Partizan Belgrade. As far as I could tell, about 1,000 basketball experts from all over the world participated. Three people went from our club: Pavel Googe, CSKA children’s sports school coach Konstantin Babanov and I. Two other coaches - Boris Sokolovsky and Sergey Bazarevich - represented the Russian Basketball Federation. PBC CSKA general director Sergey Kushchenko was invited as a special guest. The program was very intense. In three days of clinics the organizers tried to give the maximum amount of information. Besides lecture materials, the participants were also able to get their hands on books, videotapes and compact disks of earlier clinics. I think the trip was very helpful.
