Dmitry Sokolov signed new contract with CSKA

Center Dmitry Sokolov (26 years, 214 cm) and our club agreed to sign a new 2-year contract upon the expiration of the previous one’s basic term.

Jonas Kazlauskas, CSKA head coach:

I am completely satisfied to have Dmitry on our roster, because he plays his role well, he understands the tasks. He received different amounts of playing time in different period of the season and worked them out well. Besides he possesses positive aura. Any team needs the role players able to help in the games and practices. You cannot have all the starters in the big club.

Dmitry Sokolov:

I am happy to stay in CSKA because I used to feel at home in the club in past two years. I think that I improve year by year and I hope that my actions will help the team to improve. I am trying to work more – I plan to practice again in the summer to improve my skills and strength. I don’t want to get used to backup role: I am ready to show myself, to prove, to fight for the coach’s trust and playing time.
