David Andersen and AXA Barcelona F.C. signed a 3-year contract on Friday. Thus, a big, four season-long stage of career in CSKA came to an end for Andersen. It included two Euroleague titles, four Russian championships and two Russian Cups.

- It is always a bit sad when players who symbolize the club for many people are leaving the team. David Andersen is one of those persons. He has done so much for CSKA: even when he received a serious injury and missed the crucial part of 2005/06 season, his contribution to the victory of the team was invaluable. Besides, the brilliant play of Andersen in recent Euroleague Final Four certainly will not be forgotten for a long. We express our sincere appreciation to David for the bright four years he spent in CSKA, and we wish the continuation of his successful sports career in Spain. Thank you, David!

- I spent four great seasons in CSKA. CSKA is the most professional club I ever played for. People here have done everything to make me feel comfortable in Moscow, and basketball brought a lot of pleasure because of victories. I am grateful to the fans, who have helped me to become better and to add more to the team's success. Decision to leave wasn't easy, but I chose to bring more challenges and to try something new in my life.
