The visitors from Riga fought hard but the Muscovites got well-deserved victory. CSKA secured the first spot in the VTB League regular season.

Congratulations to our team with the first spot in VTB League regular championship earned with two games to go. We had to fight for the control of the game through all 40 minutes and we managed to control it. As I said before the game, rebounds on our glass has become a problem but we made corrections in the halftime. VEF had 16 offensive boards in the first half and we allowed them to take just 3 in the second. One of my tasks was to share the playing time and it was fulfilled.
