The question of character

The away game vs PBL leader Khimki will be played by out team in shortened roster. Coaching staff decided to return Victor Khryapa to rehabilitation process. It is expected that captain will be back in mid-January.

"The run for the result unfortunately played a bad joke with Victor, - CSKA interim coach Dmitry Shakulin said. Khryapa expressed the big desire to help the team in its tough times, his return was forced, and the captain stepped on the floor in the games in Milan and Ljubljana. Though he did not recover and could not help his teammates fully after just a couple of practices. So we decided that Victor will stay out for the rest of the year. And we will wait until he practices for two weeks to let him play the games. As well as the fans we are dissappointed to leave the Euroleague early. Still we have two important tournaments to play - PBL and VTB League. And we will have the difficult challenge tomorrow against Khimki. Everybody knows that our team has the character of the champion, so now it's time to show it."

Upon the return from Ljubljana CSKA started practicing immediately. Let us remind that the team misses Alexander Kaun who continues to rehabilitate his surgically repaired knee.
