Top 16 finishes in Piraeus for our team. The Army Men arrived in Athens late at night because of the strike in Greece.
As soon as the Rossiya charter flight landed in Greek capital it was already obvious that the game will be friendly one in fact. The earlier results assured that CSKA finishes first in a group, Laboral stays second, followed by Barcelona and Real.
“We secured the first spot in our group but that does not changes our attitude,” CSKA head coach Dimitris Itoudis said. “We have some difficulties but they don’t influence our motivation. They are aggressive team and they are even more aggressive defensively at home, stats confirm it. They definitely have quality, they played in three previous final games of Euroleague. So we expect it to be a fight, and we will try hard to get the win.”
