The victory over Zenit in the final game of the regular season allowed us to approach the decisive stage of the season in a good mood, but it didn't allow us to relax any more than usual. The team had a day off on Thursday, worked in Krylatskoye on Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday returned to their usual home court, Megasport. Unfortunately, Ivan Zaytsev was injured during Thursday's practice, re-fracturing the bone in his foot – the same one that forced him to remain sidelined for a significant portion of the season.

Meanwhile, Daniil Klyuchenkov, who had a strong performance at the end of the regular season on loan at Pari NN, returned to the team's practice on Saturday. The young forward averaged 9.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 26.6 minutes per game in 15 games.

“Regular season games are irrelevant to the ones that we have in front of us," said CSKA head coach Andreas Pistiolis. "Enisey is a good team that plays good basketball and competes in all recent games. We must focus on our game, show correct attitude and play playoff basketball against a very serious opponent.”

Off the big men

Since their rout by CSKA in Moscow on April 1, Jovica Arsic's team has played five games, each of which ended with a margin of seven points or fewer. The Krasnoyarsk team defeated MBA-MAI at home, losing to BETCITY Parma, UNICS, Lokomotiv-Kuban, and, surprisingly, Avtodor.

The Siberians' offense is one of the most balanced in the league, relying primarily on the success of their frontcourt. The top scorers for their opponents are big men Danilo Tasic (15.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 39.6% three-point shooting) and Egor Ryzhov (12.0 points, 5.9 rebounds). Dominic Artis (11.8 points), Matt Coleman (11.2 points, 5.1 assists, 35.5% three-point shooting), and Dmitriy Sonko (10.4 points, 40% three-point shooting) also post double-digit scoring averages.
