Euroleague April MVP: Trajan Langdon
In one of the most competitive seasons in European basketball history, only one team swept its Quarterfinal Playoffs series and advanced early to the 2006 Final Four. That team was CSKA Moscow, and shooting guard Trajan Langdon, Euroleague Basketball's choice as MVP for April, was a major reason. Behind his leadership, CSKA qualified for a record fourth consecutive Final Four. Langdon was simply sensational in both games against Efes Pilsen, averaging 18 points while hitting 58.4% of his three-pointers and 83.3% of his free throws. He played a crucial role in the series clincher, Game 2 in Istanbul, firing in 5 of 7 three-pointers among 24 points against his former team, making Trajan Langdon a perfect choice for MVP in April. Although the Final Four is still to be played and completed in April, it has its own MVP. Therefore, all other games before the Final Four were included in considerations for the April MVP award.
