Thank you, Ruslan!
Forward/center Ruslan Abdulbasirov is leaving our team after his contract expired...
The experienced big man moved to CSKA last summer from Parma, where he spent his first season in the VTB United League, became a starter and one of the most effective players on the team. In the ranks of the red-blues, the player took on the role of a reserve, played in 18 official games, averaged 3.4 points with a line of "56-54-91", 1.6 rebounds and 0.4 blocked shots in 7.5 minutes on the court. In addition, Ruslan added a gold medal to his personal collection for winning the tournament.
Andrey Vatutin, President of PBC CSKA:
I had to say repeatedly that each player on the roster contributed to our success in the VTB League. Ruslan is no exception. Over the past year, he has proven himself to be a perfect teammate, clearly accepting his role, supporting his teammates, taking advantage of his chances and working hard during the preparation period. Every coach needs such players, and we sincerely wish Ruslan to prove himself in his new team.
Andreas Pistiolis, CSKA head coach:
I would like to thank Ruslan for his hard work and dedication this season and for helping our team achieve its goals. I wish him good fortune for the next step of his career.
Ruslan Abdulbasirov:
I would like to express my gratitude to the CSKA management for the opportunity to represent the best club in the country. A big thank you to the coaching staff, my teammates, it was a great experience for me to work together. I am also grateful to all the CSKA fans, whom we always saw and heard at home and away.
