Thank you, Amath!

The former French National Team player, European vice-champion and World Championship bronze medalist, joined our team in 2023, moving from Anadolu Efes. Two years at CSKA turned out to be extremely successful for M’Baye – both seasons ended with victories in the playoffs. In addition, in the 2023-24 season, the forward was selected to play in the VTB United League All-Star Game.

The veteran proved himself to be one of the "iron" rotation players. Over two years, he took part in 105 of 107 possible games of our team, and 94 times he was in the starting five. His averages are 11.5 points (57.9% two-pointers, 36.8% three-pointers, 82.6% free throws), 3.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists in 25.3 minutes.

Amath came to Moscow as a player of starting five level for many EuroLeague clubs. And despite his advanced age for a professional athlete, he continued to demonstrate high class and a wide range of professional skills, which are not typical for most representatives of his position. In addition to his skill, Amath is distinguished by his fighting spirit, combined with friendliness and good nature. Without exaggeration, he was a key element in building chemistry in our locker room, it is no coincidence that the teams he played for won three consecutive national championship titles (if you count Efes in 2023). We will miss him and at the same time we will are happy that Amath is returning to the EuroLeague. We sincerely wish him good luck, we are always waiting for him to come to visit us!

It's hard to say goodbye to Amath. We fought side by side, and won titles together. We grinned through the tough moments, he was there for the team and his teammates. I can definitely say that he left the jersey better than he found it.

Andrey Vatutin and Natasha Furaeva – you should be so proud of the way you run your team. You make it easy to perform by making sure we never need anything. Thank you for your trust and for accepting me into your family.

Coach Pistolis – we’ve had many talks about this, but I also want the world to know how special you are. Your X’s and O’s are elite, but that’s not even your strongest trait. You’re human, and you make connections – making it easy for players to buy in and feel understood. Playing for you has been a blast, and the success we’ve had can easily be traced to the way you do things.

Pasha, Oleg, Dennis, Giannis, Alex, and Sergey – all the work you do in the shadows never goes unnoticed by me. Thank you for helping all of us sharpen our tools to be the best we can be on the court.

Oleg and Alex – y’all can never beat me one-on-one, just remember that.

Pasha – don’t even think about sending me a 5-set, 20-rep program this summer, or I’m blocking you!

Tim, Dimitrios, OG Anatoly, and Baby Toly – thank you for caring for us and always being available to treat our bodies so we could perform at the highest level.

Shep, Nick, Ivan and Anatoly (and Tazu!) – thank you for making sure everything always ran smoothly around the team.
