Russian basketball season came to the afters: the playoffs final series starts in USH CSKA tomorrow. Our team will try to defend the title in the battles against its main competitor BC Khimki.

Upon finishing the semifinal series CSKA team went deep into physical and tactical preparations. The schedule was not too exhausting – the team had one practice a day and the day-off on Monday. “Hopefully, all our players are healthy and they are preparing to the finals, - CSKA head coach Evgeny Pashutin said. Surely, we will pay more attention to defense, to the leaders of our opponents. Khimki is a strong team, highly motivated, because that will be its third try to take the title from us. It is great that the Euroleague referees will work on our games. That will keep the level of the series high, that will take away all the talks and rumors not connected to the games, that will allow the fans to enjoy basketball.”

Khimki also does not have injured players. The visitors traditionally decided not to practice on CSKA court in the evening, limiting themselves to the only shootaround in the morning of a game day. Most probably Carlos Cabesaz will be left off the roster because of the limit on a foreign players.
