UNICS Kazan is not just the league's leader but also the most inconvenient opponent for our team this season. Army men will try to improve the head-to-head stats this Sunday in the game of BEKO PBL Championship third leg.
In comparison to Kazan who played in the Eurocup playoffs and qualified for the Final Four, the Muscovites had 2-week break in the schedule to polish the team game. Fortunately, this period wasn't marked with serious injuries so the coaches will have 14 players who are ready to play.
"The game is the most important for us right now", - CSKA head coach Jonas Kazlauskas said. "Surely, we will have other important games but this one is special. UNICS has a psychological advantage because they defeated us 3 times this season, but I hope that our team will show what it is able to do. We worked hard this days, and the upcoming games will show if we were able to overcome the crisis".
