Just another BEKO PBL Championship game day includes classic Moscow derby. Our team will host old friends-opponents from Dynamo.
The only change in the roster is the inclusion of junior team guard Denis Polokhin to the dozen. J R Holden (hip), Victor Khryapa (ankle) and Alexey Shved (back) continue their rehabilitation.
“The opponents formed the team of the Russian players, and most of them I know very well from the National Team and U20 team”, CSKA interim coach Dmitry Shakulin said. “Dynamo tries hard in every game, they demonstrate their zeal. Formally they are lacking true centers but all the ‘bigs’ can shoot from outside which widens the defense. Sure, they run a lot of fast breaks. We plan to take everything into account, to be attentive and to improve our game”.
Dynamo will have shortened roster too. Ex-army player Victor Keyru is practicing but he will still miss the game after the preseason knee surgery. Big men Ivan Lazarev and Vladimir Ivlev are also out.
