The young basketball player signed a four-year contract with CSKA in the summer of 2022, after which he spent two seasons with the team, playing in a total of 81 games (28 starts) with averages of 6.0 points (60.2% two-pointers, 43.6% three-pointers, 82.3% free throws) and 2.5 rebounds. In 2024, he became the champion of the VTB United League with CSKA.
Ruzhentsev spent the last season with Parma on loan. After recovering from an injury sustained during the preparation period, Samson played in 30 games for Perm, starting 23 of them. He finished third on the team in scoring (13.2 points), while also averaging 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.9 steals per game.
