Today in the Aerostar hotel a presentation was given about an international coaching seminar to be held by the Yugoslav Basketball Coaches Association, or YUBAC in Belgrade from August 4-5.
Today in the Aerostar hotel a presentation was given about an international coaching seminar to be held by the Yugoslav Basketball Coaches Association, or YUBAC in Belgrade from August 4-5.
YUBAC director Milan Opacic, YUBAC president and PBC CSKA head coach Dusan Ivkovic, president of the Russian Basketball Federation Sergey Chernov and president of the coaching department of RFB Valery Lunickin took part in the presentation. Also full squad pf the coaching staffs of main and junior CSKA teams and CEO of the army club Sergey Kushchenko also were in Aerostar hotel today.
Milan Opacic began the presentation by the full story about the clinic. These days the basketball week will take place in Beograd includes the international basketball tournament Diamond Ball and friendly game between Serbia and Montenegro national team and American Dream Team.
Next orators will take part in the third seminar: Larry Brown (Detroit Pistons and USA national team), Greg Popovic (San-Antonio Spurs), Ettore Messina (Benetton), Bodijar Malkovic (Serbia and Montenegro national team), Arni Kender (Detroit) and Dusan Ugarkovic (Belgrad University, Basketball Academy).
This summer organizers of the seminar are waiting for more then 1000 Serbian coaches and about 250 foreign specialists. Sergey Chernov said that Russian Basketball Federation will send 5 local coaches to Beograd. Many clubs includes CSKA also will send there representatives of their coaching staffs.
As Valery Lunickin said this season 8 coaching seminars took part in Russia. Sergey Chernov said that he wants famous Russian players like Sergey Belov, Stanislav Eremin and Oleg Kim to share their experience.
In the end YUBAC representatives thanked management of PBC CSKA for their help in the organization of the presentation.
