After victories in the semifinals of Olympic qualifying tournament of Croatian and Greek national teams CSKA players Zoran Planinic and Nikos Zisis got the right to play in Beijing. Congratulations!
After victories in the semifinals of Olympic qualifying tournament of Croatian and Greek national teams CSKA players Zoran Planinic and Nikos Zisis got the right to play in Beijing.
Croatian team had to withstand a difficult game against the German national team (76-70). Planinic scored 8 points (2-pointers 3/5, FT 2/2), made 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 fouls and 1 turnover in 17 minutes. Greece defeated Puerto Rico without any problems, and virtually without the help of Zisis, who spent just 2 minutes on the court and missed his lone shot. Worth mentioning the play of ex-CSKA guard Theodoros Papaloukas who scored 9 points and made 10 assists.
