Nikola Milutinov has become CSKA player

Center Nikola Milutinov (25 years old, 213 cm) signed 3-year contract with our club.

The player from Novi Sad, Serbia, has started his basketball path at Hemofarm Vrsac junior program where he also debuted in pro basketball. He played his first EuroLeague games with Partizan Belgrade at 17. He played for Olympiacos Piraeus last 5 seasons. Nikola’s collection features the titles in Serbian, Adriatic and Greek leagues. He was named Euroleague Round MVP three times.

The center played for his country on every junior level, he won the silver medal at the 2013 U19 World Championship. Last year he played for the National Team at the FIBA World Cup.

Milutinov led the 2019-20 EuroLeague in rebounds (8.2) and offensive rebounds (3.6). He also averaged 10.3 points, 1.2 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.6 blocked shots in 24.6 minutes.

Playing for Olympiacos, great team, under great coaches, Nikola showed that he is one of the most significant big men in Europe. When we talked, he noted that he has highest motivation to defend CSKA colors, to prove it to our fans. Nikola will be playing on the same position where many great big men played, so he steps into demanding position. He is thrilled and ready to accept the challenge. I am sure he will be ready, and may God keeps him healthy. We wait for a chance to work together.

After 5 years with Olympiacos, it was time for new chapter in my basketball life. So far in my career, all the decisions I’ve made were more or less difficult, but not this one.
