The new beginning
It’s time to forget about all the previous successes of this season. Moscow will host first and second game of CSKA – Caja Laboral Euroleague playoffs quarterfinal series on Tuesday and Thursday. The series is the best-of-five.

Army team is back to its normal schedule after the win in Russian Cup and the day-off. Victor Keyru who was rehabilitating after the back injury is also back to practicing with the team. Matjaz Smodis continues to work out individually.

Caja Laboral is also suffered a lot because of injuries this season but the team is back to its optimal roster. Tiago Splitter who missed all but 2 games in the Euroleague Top 16 played short periods in the previous game of Spanish League. The team came to Moscow from Vitoria through Madrid. The practice is planned in USH CSKA for this evening.

“That’s a playoffs, and that means different motivation, different defensive aggressiveness. – CSKA head coach Evgeny Pashutin said. Caja Laboral is one of the toughest opponents we could face. They have quality and depth on every position; they play fast, Spanish style game, implemented by coach Ivanovic. We should not let them have any open shots, should make them play basketball in our rhythm.”
