Junior CSKA won the first game at the 2007 Nike Junior Tournament. The game against Montepaschi Siena was not easy for Andrei Maltsev squad. Though the team was ahead by 10 points by the start of the last quarter the win was a matter of the only shot in the last minute.

Montepaschi (Italy) – CSKA: 47-50

- It was a nervous game. For several of the players this tournament is the first in the career and the very important one. The key for the game was the defence. We had hard time against their zone and on the other hand they did not show good shooting percentage. I also want to mention that today Maxim Zakharov and Denis Polokhin had a good game.
