CSKA junior team began its preparations
The next generation of CSKA players began its preparations for the upcoming season this week. The championship format will be defined by Superleague Board on July 31.

“We began our practices on July 27, - junior project head coach Andrey Maltsev said. And the players from junior and JBL teams are practicing together with the exception of National Teams’ players of different ages. During the summer all the players were practicing under their individual programs distributed by the coaches. Now we are estimating the level of their readiness, we are working out some new players who missed our camp in May or those guys who did not impress us immediately. The main part of our practices is related to basketball basics and preparation for work in the mountains because we will have a camp in Kislovodsk from August 12 till August 27. At the same time the National Teams’ players will work out in Moscow. We have no news on contracts yet. The only thing I can say for sure is that Nelyubov went to VEF Riga and Shamov left us to play for NBA Nizhny Novgorod. Some of the players will be transferred from JBL to junior team naturally with accordance to their age.”
