Daniil Klyuchenkov: step forward with the main team

Klyuchenkov is a Muscovite, but he started playing basketball at the Khimki Sports School No. 1. At the age of 16, the young player moved to the red-blue team and played for the CSKA youth project teams.

The two previous seasons were especially successful for Daniil. In 2024, Klyuchenkov became the VTB United Youth League regular championship MVP, took silver medal with CSKA-Junior and got elected into the Final Four All-Tournament Team, and in 2025, together with CSKA-2, he became second in the Superleague.

Last season, the forward played 31 games for the Red-Blues' reserve team (27 in the starting lineup) in the Superleague and Russian Cup, averaging 10.9 points (52.3% two-pointers, 37.5% three-pointers), 4.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocked shots in 24.9 minutes.

Andreas Pistiolis, CSKA head coach:

I’d like to welcome Daniil to the main team. He becomes the second player promoted as a result of the excellent work done by our CSKA second team this past season. Now, the real challenge begins—as he’s called to elevate every aspect of his game and approach. A demanding but rewarding season lies ahead of him.

Daniil Klyuchenkov, CSKA forward:

I am grateful to the CSKA management for their trust. I understand that the transition to the main team provides not only new opportunities, but also increased requirements. Now it is important to focus on the training process, quickly understand the tactical schemes and establish interaction with partners. I am here to learn, work and help the team achieve success. I am glad to have the opportunity to continue playing for CSKA.
