Dani Hackett stays with CSKA until 2022
Guard Daniel Hackett (193 cm, 32 y.o.) signed new 2-year contract with our club.

One of the Italian National Team leaders joined the Army Men in the summer of 2018 and helped the Red-Blues to win all team titles possible in his first season. The coaching staff values Hackett’s versatility: Dani is one of CSKA’s best defenders, he is aggressive on offense and active in playmaking. He started 69 of 104 games for the team with averages of 7.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists. The guard set his EuroLeague career high this season by scoring 28 points in the game vs Olimpia Milan at Kaliningrad.

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
Me and everybody in the club highly evaluated the contribution Dani made during last year and this season, and we decided to extend collaboration with him. I hope God will keep him safe so he will continue to improve his game. From the very first moment he felt that CSKA is his family. It is very important for the player to feel that this is his team. And we are happy for that.

Daniel Hackett, CSKA guard:
Since I arrived in Moscow in August of 2018 I witnessed and understood what is like to be part of the CSKA family. Top level organization and winning culture are only a few of the special things that make it one of the best basketball club in the world. Myself and my family are extremely grateful and happy that we can officially call CSKA Moscow our home for more years to come. I want to say a big Thank You to our president, to our coach, the ownership, the management, the coaching staff, my past and present teammates, the medical staff, the media team and all the people working for our Club. Thank you for accepting me for who I am, and for helping me become a better player and a better person. Thank you for all your dedication and for your trust. I look forward to push myself and my teammates to improve every day, as we strive for many more victories and trophies. Last but not least, thank you to all our fans for the support you showed us through good or bad days, you guys are great. Keep Pushing, always.
