CSKA members joined National Team

Russian National Team started its preparations for the World Championship in Novogorsk, Moscow Region, today. The representatives of our club will take part in the practices.

Coach Dmitry Shakulin, athletic coach Georgy Artemiev, doctor Alexander Zykov, physiotherapist Asker Barcho and player Alexey Shved who played for Dynamo Moscow on loan this season went to the National Team camp. CSKA head coach Evgeny Pashutin will miss the camp as he is allowed to rest after the difficult season.

“Our goal is to adapt the candidates to the requirements of the National Team, - Dmitry Shakulin said. David Blatt worked abroad for the most part of the season, so he has to see all the newcomers advised to him in the end of the season. Taking into consideration that the season in Russia just finished the players are in good physical conditions, so we do not have to waste time on getting them back into shape. After medical examinations we will pay most of the attention to individual physical and technical workouts. The team will play basketball during evening practices. Besides Georgy Artemiev will provide all the young players with the program of summer practices because it is a luxury to rest for two months in this age.”
