Secured in the Top Eight

After a disappointing start to the season, the Siberians had a strong November, completing a four-game winning streak and securing a spot in the VTB League's Top Eight. Jovica Arsic's men are now carefully collecting points and are deservedly contenders for the playoffs.

Enisey is primarily being carried by Danilo Tasic (15.0 points, 6.4 rebounds), who is bearing an additional burden due to the injury of forward Artem Antipov. Dominik Artis (12.2 points) and Matt Coleman (10.6 points, 4.6 assists) are also scoring in double figures. Local alum Dmitriy Sonko (9.7 points) and Yegor Ryzhov (9.2 points, 5.0 rebounds), loaned from Zenit, are proving to be excellent leaders.

Not optimal

The Army Men returned from Krasnodar on a Rossiya/Aeroflot charter the day after the game and returned to practice on Saturday. The coaches had to reorganize their rotation again. Ivan Ukhov, who had recovered, participated in the practice, but Antonius Cleveland, who suffered an ankle injury in the game against Lokomotiv, and Casper Ware, who also suffered a knee contusion, were sidelined.

"Enisey is a team that always plays serious basketball," notes CSKA head coach Andreas Pistiolis. "We're not in the best situation due to injuries, and we're also playing on a neutral court. However, I believe that our players will do their best, and our fans will come, create a real home atmosphere and help the team win.”
