Heroes of the day
Practices at the Basket Hall in Krylatskoye will begin at the beginning of the month, but the official return day for the players is August 15 - by the way, exactly on the centenary of the first game of the OPPV team in the Moscow Championship! For two days, the team will combine practices with medical examinations and tests, and from August 18, they will begin full-fledged work. The first basketball test will be two games with Parma-Pari on August 25 and 27 in Krylatskoye.
The away part of the pre-season this time starts in Europe. The Red-Blues received an invitation to visit the Republika Srpska, a state entity within the federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from the Igokea club. The team from Aleksandrovac is celebrating its 50th anniversary this summer, and for them the Moscow guests will become the headliners of festive events. It is the meeting between Igokea and CSKA that will open the anniversary tournament in Laktasi (a suburb of Banja Luka) and Banja Luka itself, which will also include Partizan, Hapoel Jerusalem, Galatasaray and Turk Telecom.
The next stop for the team of Emil Rajkovic will be Antalya, where CSKA will take part in the tournament organized by the Turkish Association of Basketball Coaches. It will also feature two EuroLeague participants – Crvena Zvezda and Anadolu Efes, as well as Turkish vice-champion Karsiyaka.
Upon returning to Moscow, CSKA will begin preparations for the VTB League SuperCup and the start of the season.
