The New Year holidays are over for our team. The red-blues went to Krasnoyarsk today to start the Year 2023 with the game against Enisey…

To get back to our rhythm

PRE-GAME BREAKDOWN

The previous game took place on December 23, so the coaches allowed the team to rest. Just after the game vs MBA there were several days-off. The player and coaches also had a chance to make a break for a New Year day. The first practice of the Year 2023 took place in Krylatskoye on January 2.

CSKA got back young forward Filipp Gafurov from the loan at Samara. He was able to practice with the team, but he wasn’t included into the away roster yet. Gafurov will practice individually in Moscow together with Vladimir Karpenko. Semen Antonov is also out as he continues his post-injury rehab.

The team went to Enisey banks with 12 players. This is the second time this season when Aeroflot charter is used. The first time happened during the trip to Krasnodar via Stavropol.

WORD TO COACH

Emil Rajkovic, CSKA head coach:

It was unusually long break during the season, we used it to rest, recover and reload. It was also great to spend some extra time with our families, and I hope all our fans also enjoyed the holidays. I would like to wish everyone Happy New Year and Merry Christmas! Now it’s time to get back to our rhythm. We will face Enisey, that obviously upgraded their game, plays much better since we met them in Moscow. We need to play with focus and quality to secure away victory.
