PRE-GAME BREAKDOWN

Marius Grigonis returned to the ranks of the Army Men, he was allowed to go to Lithuania to see his newborn daughter and stay with his family and thus missed the previous game.

The Polish club radically changed the squad in the offseason, but the Army Team still has a grudge against the rivals: the previous meeting between the teams ended with a surprise victory for Zielona Gora. By the way, Iffe Lundberg has become one of the heroes of the game as he scored 26 points against the red-and-blues.

WORD TO THE COACH

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:

We started our VTB League season in Minsk and we want to play another serious game in front of our fans. I hope they will come to watch the game and support the team. Zielona Gora is a completely different team in comparison to the one that we witnessed last year. They are a good shooting team, they run the floor well, they have good creators. I would say, they share scoring, 8-9 players play decent minutes, lately the also used some other guys who did not play that much before. So that’s a team that uses its strengths well, their shooting, the pick-n-pops and the guys who spread the floor. Overall, it’s a dangerous opponent. We are in a good situation, everyone is healthy, we are looking forward to become better team, from practice to practice, from game to game.
