Maintaining the status quo
The victory over UNICS was important not only from a moral point of view, but also in terms of strengthening the position in the standings. The team defended its lead, leaving Kazan in third place. The long preparation during the break paid off, and on Sunday the coaches gave the team a well-deserved day off. On Monday evening, the Muscovites returned to Megasport to hold a pre-game training session.
"We will meet Uralmash for the fourth time, and, nevertheless, we will be facing a practically different team," noted CSKA head coach Andreas Pistiolis. "The opponents are talented, put a lot of energy into the game, and we expect a tough fight. We must take advantage of the momentum after the previous game, continue to build on it and move forward."
The restructuring does not stop
