PRE-GAME BREAKDOWN
The Army Team is counting on the same players that won the game vs ASVEL. Will Clyburn continues to recover from a hip injury, Semen Antonov is ill. The team got a day off on Saturday (although some players came to practice individually), and on Sunday they had a basketball practice before leaving to Sheremetyevo.
Zenit is in a difficult situation: due to the illness of several players, the team had to postpone three previous EuroLeague games. Their previous game took place on January 4, when the team lost to Parma on the road playing shorthanded. On Monday, Xavi Pascual will again not have a full roster.
REFEREES
Tomislav Hordov (crew chief, Croatia), Rain Peerandi (Estonia), Stanislav Valeev (Russia)
PRE-GAME QUOTES
Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
It’s our third game in seven days, but we have played well, we got the results and we see some progress in our game and it makes us happy. Especially the fact that the team has unity, we found a common word, we communicate better, we fight until the end. Now we have another important game against Zenit which is always a serious and great rival. We gotta go and give it all again.
