Just before the game against Crvena Zvezda, our team lost one more important player...
We will play without MVP

PRE-GAME BREAKDOWN

Immediately after the game with Zenit, Toko Shengelia felt pain in his shoulder. He is undergoing the necessary examinations at the GMS Clinic and will not be able to help the team in the next games. Also out of the game are injured Nikola Milutinov (knee) and Marius Grigonis (back), both are engaged in rehabilitation and individual work.

The coaches do not have the newcomer Kenneth Faried at their disposal yet - he will arrive in the coming days.

After the victory against Zenit, the Red-Blues had only one full-fledged training session - on Thursday. Wednesday was devoted only to rest and individual practice. Andrey Lopatin and Alexander Khomenko took part in the Russian Cup game for CSKA-2.

PRE-GAME QUOTES

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:

Things are happening, unfortunately. We hope for the best [regarding Shengelia’s injury]. Toko had some pain in his shoulder, we don’t want to risk, he will do the tests. He is better today, but not to the level required in the physical game. Zvezda is playing on the level of foul, they are very aggressive on both ends. They already have two wins, one on the road, one at home, the road game against Fenerbahce was also a tie game. It’s a very serious opponent overall.

Johannes Voigtmann, CSKA forward/center:

We are good. We had one extra day off than they had so we will be full of energy. We will try to compensate the losses we have – Marius, Niko and Toko, it’s gonna be tough, it’s gonna be about who will be able to step up. We gotta be united on the court and make up for the guys who are missing. Zvezda is playing really good, they started the season well, they could have won all three games. They are playing physical, we must match it. When you hustle at least on the same level, you have good chance to win this game.

"RELATIVITY" CONNECTIONS
