Ural Great vs CSKA: 63-104

The guests were the leaders from the first up to the 40th minute of the game. The club from Perm made the one 5-0 run in the beginning of the second quarter. On the Perm side the only worth-to-mention performance was shown by former CSKA player Egor Vyaltsev – 12 points. Slovenian Golemac also scored 12, but was forced to spend almost all the 4th quarter on the bench due to 5 personal fouls. Ural Great leader Sam Hoskin did not take part in the game. He was injured on the practice the day before.

CSKA is on the top of the Superleague with 15-0 balance. The next match the team would play in the Euroleague in Pau against Pau Orthez.

CSKA head coach Dusan Ivkovic:

- Today we played better than the rival and really deserved the win. It is unfortune for Ural Great that Sam Hoskin did not participate in the game because they play completely different basketball with the American. It did not take us long to get to 25 points difference and after that I let the young players step on the court. I wish Ural Great all the best. They have a lot of new players on the roster and I think they would be able to show a better play then tonight.

Ural Great coach Valdemaras Chomicius:

- We did our best to prepare for the game in the best possible way but it did not work out.
The very first minutes of the game showed our weakness in the defense. We did not do a great job on the boards and forgot almost all the usual schemes. I guess Golemac should play a bit less passion as it becomes usual for him to receive 5 fouls a long before the end of the game. In the absence of both Hoskin and Golemac we can not fight with CSKA in the right way. Tonight Egor Vyaltsev and Georgy Tsintsadze showed a good performance. They know CSKA pretty well so they did not afraid and could show their abilities on their level. But despite the result I am happy with the atmosphere in the team. It has been changing for 2 weeks and now we do not have problems between the players and all the team practices with the maximum effort. The game against CSKA showed that we have a lot of job to do. Especially I mean my own job as a coach.
