The derby attracted more fans than USK CSKA could accommodate. CSKA met its long time rival Dynamo in the 9th round of the Russian Superleague. The Army club won the game – 91-80 and became the only team in the league without any losses. CSKA vs Dynamo Moscow: 91-80

So far CSKA played its best game defensivly this season. Although the team experienced some troubles in the offence in the first quarter of the game – only 6 points in 8 first minutes, the team controlled the game. The Army club took the lead in the second quarter and did not give Dynamo even a chance to cut down the 10 points difference for all the 2nd half long. But it seems no one was sorry that the derby did not had the tough end. The reason was CSKA excelent performance. All the players gave their best to the victory.

CSKA is going to play the next game away in Chekhov against Dynamo from Moscow region next Saturday. The club is on the top of the Superleague table. Dynamo Moscow is on the 2nd position.

The head coach of CSKA Dusan Ivkovic:

We absolutely deserved this victory. Except first 5 minutes when Dynamo led 10 points we controlled the game. XSKA could recover from -10 to +20. Today my trwam has shown very good team basketball. I dont like to talk about so,ebody separately but today I want to notive the excellent job of our guards.

The head coach of Dynamo Zvi Sherf:

Today we lost the game who is one of the 2-3 best teams in Europe. We had difficult week. Today we could not stop Holden and Papaloukas. Our defense was bad. We could score 80 points, it is good result. But dont forget who was our opponent. I am dissapoint with the result of the game.
