Thank you, Dani!
Hackett joined CSKA Moscow in 2018 from Bamberg and immediately became one of the key elements of the team that won the EuroLeague title a year later. Dani played 201 games in the red-and-blue colors (131 as a starter), averaging 8.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 0.9 steals.
Almost four seasons with our team were perhaps the most successful in Hackett's career in terms of team and personal achievements. In addition to winning the Euroleague, he helped Muscovites win the VTB United League twice and the Russian Championship, as well as to reach the Final Four last year. Dani became the MVP of the 2021 VTB League playoffs, became the VTB League All-Star, he was named EuroLeague MVP of the Round twice, and reached many career-highs.
Andrey Vatutin, CSKA President:
Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:It is very difficult for me to say goodbye to Dani, such a player, such a person. I know that it is not easy for him to leave our club, of which he has become a part over these four years. Dani has always given 100 per cent – in the games, practices, in everything he did, and therefore deservedly became one of the most popular players in our team. He is a real fighter who led the teammates. His departure was forced by the demands of the time and family circumstances, and I ask all our fans to treat it with understanding, to keep warm feelings towards Dani and his family in their hearts. I sincerely wish Dani good luck in his new place, a long and successful career in sports. Thank you for all the victories and bright emotions! It was unforgettable.
Daniel Hackett:It was great four years, and it was a pleasure to work with Dani Hackett, to win together, to celebrate together, to confront the opponents. We are happy that he came here, became a part of the family, won his first EuroLeague title, got his MVP awards, helped us win. To Dani and his family I’d like to wish best of luck and health.
It is very difficult to put into words the feelings I have had in the last week. Unfortunately, due to the situation that has arisen, I have decided to bring my family back home and to interrupt my journey with what for 4 years I have considered a second family. I am grateful to have shared this adventure with real winners. A club, its President, Coach, staff, and many teammates, over the years, who have helped me grow as a player and as a man. Thanks also to all the fans who have never stopped giving us their support. My family and I will always have CSKA in our hearts.
Надеюсь дожить, когда ЦСКА вернется. И тогда никому не завидую...
В нынешней ситуации - оптимальное решение.
В ЕЛ ВТБ сыграем своими родными.
Может , сборная посильнее станет.
