All-Decade Nominee: Cory Higgins
Our team’s veteran Cory Higgins is nominated as one of 50 candidates for the EuroLeague All-Decade Team.

Few EuroLeague fans knew of Cory Higgins when he joined CSKA Moscow as a fifth-year pro from Royal Hali Gaziantep of Turkey in 2015. But Higgins proved a talisman for his new team and the quintessential end-of-the-decade pro as he was an integral part of CSKA making four consecutive Final Fours between 2015 and 2019 – and, of course, winning two of them.

In his first EuroLeague campaign, 2015-16, Higgins was a key ingredient to CSKA taking its sixth EuroLeague title with a thrilling 96-101 overtime victory against Fenerbahce Istanbul. In his first championship game, Higgins had a solid 12 points, 3 assists and a PIR of 14. The best, however, was yet to come, as Higgins continued improving through the end of the decade.

After two strong seasons in which CSKA came up short at the Final Four, Higgins played a decisive role to lead the Russian powerhouse to another EuroLeague title in 2019. In that season’s championship game against Anadolu Efes Istanbul, he scored 20 points while hitting 4 of 5 three-point shots and 4 of 4 free throws.
