Kirilenko named the Euroleague Game 1 MVP!

Our team’s forward Andrey Kirilenko has become the Euroleague Game 1 MVP. He scored 17 points, made 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocked shots in the game against Zalgiris good for 37 ranking points. UNICS guard Henry Domercant was his closest competitor with 35 ranking points.

The last player who had double-digit rebounding numbers for CSKA in the Euroleague game was Alexander Kaun. He collected 10 boards in the semifinal game against Barcelona on May 7, 2010. Sasha is also the last one to have a double-double for the team – 18 points and 10 rebounds in quarterfinal against Caja Laboral on April 1, 2010. The last one to score the double-double plus five assists was Victor Khryapa who did it in two games in a row – 17 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists against Caja Laboral in the regular season game (14.1.10) and 12 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists against Unicaja in Top 16 game (27.1.10).
