PRE-GAME BREAKDOWN

The meeting with the Polish club is the second game out of three, which the army team is supposed to play on a segment of six days. Therefore, there was no time for a break after returning from Minsk. Today the team was preparing for a game at USH CSKA.

Zielona Gora has one of the hottest players in the tournament on the roster. Gabriel Lundberg is the second-leading scorer of the VTB United League (19.8 ppg). On November 14, he scored 32 points against UNICS, hitting two key "threes" in the end and bringing victory to his team. In recent Eurobasket qualification games, Lunberg scored 28 points and helped Denmark sensationally beat Lithuania in Vilnius, and then added 38 points against Czech Republic - another victory!

First of all, it’s a back-to-back game for us as well as for them. Zielona Gora is much more competitive team this year, they prove it during the season: they were dominant against Enisey recently, and play well in other games. They play with high intensity, they use different defenses – pressure, zone, man-to-man. Overall, they are definitely a playoff team which will be aiming for high spot in the standings. So the game will require for attention and concentration from us.
